My 1st solo album - Sapne Suhane (2009) - was very much about discovering my musical identity (post my 3 albums with A Band of Boys)

 

So essentially this album has a 'mixed bag' kind of sound but is always going to be very memorable for me as (other than it being my 1st album), it was also the 1st time I worked with my grandmom Asha Bhosle professionally - recording and shooting with her, promoting the album, etc. etc.

 

And icing on this cake - the album hit the Indipop top 10 charts within a month of launch and won me 'The Best Music Album of the Year' award!
